Welcome to Saint David Catholic Elementary School- "Authentically Catholic, Academically Excellent: Where Faith Joins Hands, Hearts, and Minds. Saint David School is located in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. It is administered by the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and staffed by eleven full time classroom teachers and five special subject teachers. Our school was founded in 1920. Its primary purpose is consistent with the educational mission of the Catholic Church: to celebrate the message of salvation proclaimed by Jesus Christ.
The philosophy of Catholic Education guides the integrated and harmonious development of the whole child. Included in the holistic formation are the spiritual, moral, intellectual, social, and physical growth, with emphasis on the education of the whole person for life and eternity. The administration, faculty, and staff strive to actualize the uniqueness of each child through integrated ministry embracing three interlocking dimensions:
- Teaching the Message of Jesus Christ
- Building Community
- Service to Others
This threefold purpose of Catholic Education is central to the daily program and is integrated throughout the entire curriculum. It provides the framework for the total school program. The curriculum provided is guided by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and conforms to Pennsylvania state mandates. Our students participate daily in religious, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social experiences within and outside of the classroom. Please visit our website:
